SNCCF was founded to find ways of applying technology to help the lives of Special Needs Children. In October 2019 we were awarded a $10,000 grant to design, develop, and build a prototype of a Universal Tray for power and manual wheelchairs from Becton Dikenson (www.bd.com). BD is a global medical technology company that is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care.
We are hopeful that the incorporation of existing technology in our design will add substantial value to wheelchair users, easing the struggles and challenges Special Needs Children face every day.

This project has been completed. The design, development and prototyping of the Universal Tray was successfully completed. We learned much during the early development phase and incorporated lessons learned in the prototype of the Tray. We are prepared to share our design with any organization that is willing to take the Universal Tray to the next phase of the project and make it available in the market.
Becton, Dickinson and Company is an American medical technology company that manufactures and sells medical devices, instrument systems, and reagents. BD also provides consulting and analytics services in certain geographies.
