The Special Need Children Center Foundation (SNCCF) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established to develop and operate a center to serve Special Need Children in traditional and novel ways. We envision an environment where children and young adults with special needs can enjoy their early years without regard to individual limitations and simply delight in their youth. The center will offer knowledgeable resources to address the unique challenges faced by special needs individuals and their families, provide a safe environment for socializing, and help prepare them for a productive adult life.
SNCCF was established in 2006 in Alameda County in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our unique approach involves applying today’s communications and space technologies to develop highly-capable assistive equipment to help special need children and young adults become more mobile, connected, self-reliant and independent. Additionally our center will provide more traditional services for exercise, therapy, entertainment, education and counseling. We strongly believe current technologies may enable breakthrough capabilities to fulfill our vision — a society which places no unnecessary limits on special need individuals and allows them to use all of their inborn capabilities. Our mission is to assist special need children and young adults with the resources, environment, and support necessary to accomplish a life of fulfillment. We invite you to browse our website and especially to become part of this exciting adventure to improve the quality and productivity of so many of our neighbors.
