There is no substitute for unconditional love for our children locally and all over the world.
Special Need Children Center Foundation, in collaboration with Kiwanis Club of Campbell (CA), funded the design and construction of a brand new classroom and dormitory as an addition to Irigithathi School in Kenya. This school serves both special needs and mainstream children in the area.
The funds were provided to The Global Uplift Project (TGUP), an organization specializing in building small-scale, high-impact education projects in the developing world.
“We are proud of being able to make a difference in the lives of special needs children wherever they may be”, says Zia Oboodiyat, Founder and CEO of SNCCF.
Classroom Project – Complete
This video is from the dedication of the new classroom built as part of this project. You will see Mr. Robert Freeman, the Founder and Executive Director of TGUP, participating in the dedication with the local school officials and students at the Irigithathi School. Toward the end of the video, he reads the poem written to the students by Zia specifically for the dedication.
Dormitory Project Progress
This dormitory will house 20 girls in bunk beds and their house mother. A few progress photos are below. A more complete photo gallery can be found here.
We at SNCCF will continue to exert our efforts to help our special needs children and their families. We appreciate your continued support and your generous donations to our foundation towards achieving our goals of improving the quality of life for our special needs children and their families.
