In cooperation with the New Haven Unified School District, SNCCF has provided three grants to Special Education classes to help improve the quality of life and academic achievement for Special Ed students. We admire and support the outstanding work of the teachers and staff at New Haven schools.
- Supplies for the Special Olympic Team bench area
A canopy, bench, table, team banner, and snacks were provided for the special ed athletes for use during Special Olympics events.
- Equipment to support an educational model to improve life skills and coping mechanisms
Room dividers and a toddler desk converter device were provided to help preschool students in the moderate/severe special ed classes learn to sit and pay attention.
- Independent living and vocational training
A cabinet, coffee cups, supplies, lids and labels were supplied to special needs students.
