Gert van Ommering is a retired space industry executive who managed corporate R&D as well as innovative space technology, flight hardware, and advanced systems development programs for the US government and commercial customers.
In his retirement, he consults for a startup company, serves as president of his homeowner’s association, and is on the boards of a photography club and the SNCCF. He enjoys historical research, travel, writing and photography, and the care and feeding of two wonderful rescue cats. He has supported various SNCCF activities over the years, including as editor, designer, and illustrator of Zia’s most recent three poetry books, with all proceeds benefiting the SNCCF.
